As
you know, the current European Resuscitation Council (ERC)
guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) were
published in late 2005. The ERC is now conducting a
European-wide survey to find out to what extent these have
been implemented in pre-hospital and in-hospital clinical
practice. We have designed a questionnaire, that also deals
with the current status of AED in your country, and would be
most grateful if you could spare the time to complete it.
This survey is part of a larger European project known
as "Hesculaep" (www.hesculaep.org). The more people who
complete the survey, the better our common insight into the
current status of the implementation of the guidelines and the
use of AEDs in all European countries. The information you
provide will be processed anonymously.
The results of
the survey will be made available on the ERC website and will
be mailed to you personally. As a small token of our
appreciation, the names of all those who complete the survey
will be entered into a draw and the winner will receive full
individual membership of the ERC for one year, or its
equivalent value (140
euro) in ERC course materials.
This survey
should not take more than 15 minutes of your time. The ERC
thanks you in advance for your valuable contribution.
